Commissioning

How to Commission Artwork

Stage 1. Discussion.

 1. Do you want a pencil drawing or an acrylic painting?

2. What has inspired you? Are there any pictures on my website you like?

3. What’s your deadline? (For a painting, I will need a minimum of 2 weeks, but ideally a month)

Stage 2. Rough Sketch

1. After a few days, I will email you a rough pencil sketch.

2.Your feedback. As we discuss this ‘rough’, it will become clearer to us both, what you want.

Stage 3. Finished Drawing (Pencil on cartridge paper).

I produce a finished drawing with the changes we agreed. I want you to be totally happy with the finished drawing before:

Either

You pay for (and I give you) the Drawing alone. According to size:

Up to A5, starting at £100

Up to A4, starting at £125

Up to A3, starting at £225

Or….

I proceed to Stage 4. (Any possible changes after this stage may be limited – as this will be an original hand-painted artwork, not a computer-generated image on Photoshop).

Stage 4. Finished Painting (Acrylic paint on cartridge paper/board/canvas)

This can be the longest stage, from a few days to a few weeks? It depends on the size and/or complexity. So, patience is needed…

On completion, I will text you a photo of the finished painting for your approval. (Only minor ‘tweaks’ can be made at this stage) Then, when you are completely happy with the image…you pay!

Stage 5. Payment for the Painting. According to size:

Up to A5, starting at £200

Up to A4, starting at £350

Up to A3, starting at £450

All payments by bank transfer.
